Attend the tale of Sweeney Todd-this macabre musical thriller is based on the legend of a half-mad 19th century English barber. Driven to crime and unjustly imprisoned when his wife and child are taken from him, Sweeney Todd eventually escapes and vows to bring justice not only to the judge who destroyed his life, but to all the people of London. The demon barber of Fleet Street is once again open for business-partnering with the greedy purveyor of meat-pies, Mrs. Lovett, to exact a horrible revenge on the man who destroyed his family and the society that let it happen. Featuring a score by Stephen Sondheim, this tale of vengeance and murder mixes heart-pounding suspense with moments of dark humor.
