THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
UPDATED: May 25, 2021
Grades: Where Summer classes/camps are listed by grades levels, please register for the grade the student will be entering in the fall. Preschool students should be at least 3 years of age and able to use the restroom independently.
Ages: Where classes/camps are listed by ages, please register for the program that matches your age on the first day of class.
Behavior Expectations: We ask that our students follow two simple rules: Kindness First and Safety Always! We encourage students to welcome challenges and to try something new.
Packed Lunches: Students in all day camps will need to bring a packed lunch each day. We cannot provide refrigeration or microwaves for the students.
Water Bottles: Students are encouraged to bring water bottles to class. We will provide opportunities for bottle refilling throughout the day. Following recommendations from the Health Department, our drinking fountains are currently turned off.
- Effective June 1st: Fully Vaccinated Teachers and Students are not required to wear masks. Unvaccinated and partially vaccinated teachers and students must wear masks in public areas and rehearsal rooms. Extra masks will be available if needed.
- Effective July 1st: We encourage unvaccinated Staff, Students, Volunteers and Patrons to wear masks and will have masks available. However, you are not required to wear masks.
- Younger Students: Upon request from a parent or guardian, our staff will provide support and reminders for their child to masks while in our classrooms and camps.
Health: Please do not attend class if you have had a fever of over 100.4 in the past 24 hours, have a sore throat, have had close contact with a person known to have COVID-19 or have been asked by the health department to isolate/quarantine.
Instructors/Staff: The Academy of Theatre Arts reserves the right to make instructor substitutions in our programs.
Clothing: Students are asked to wear close toed shoes that do not kick off easily during classes and camps. Clothing should be chosen for comfort and movability. If a class has more specific requirements, that information will be included in the email sent out the week prior to class start.
Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel your registration for any reason, we will refund 100% of your fees if we are notified of the cancellation at least 72 hours prior to the first class/camp day. We are unable to issue refunds on or after the first class day.
We reserve the right to cancel a class/camp due to low enrollment. Should this occur, you will receive a full refund.
Drop Off/Pick Up: To minimize the number of students in any one space, the Academy has instituted a staggered drop off and pick up schedule. Please try to arrive within 10 minutes of your scheduled start/end time. The informational email will include a map of our parking lot and the entry doors assigned to each class/camp.
