THE WORLD GOES 'ROUND
Civic Reader's Theatre Musical
Enter the world of the distinguished and celebrated writing team, Kander and Ebb in a passionate, harmonious, up-tempo evening of musical theatre. From Cabaret to Chicago, the nonstop hit-parade features unforgettable gems including "Mr. Cellophane," "Maybe This Time," "Cabaret," and "New York, New York." Filled with humor, romance, drama and nonstop melody, The World Goes 'Round is a thrilling celebration of life and the fighting spirit that keeps us all going.
The Civic Reader's Theatre program was established twelve years ago as a way of
providing more performance opportunities for our veteran actors. Needless to say, this reader's theatre program has proven to be very popular with volunteers and patrons alike. It is designed to meet the needs of actors 50 and older. All productions are "reader's theatre" in nature, lines and lyrics are learned but not memorized.
