The Merry Wives of Windsor

Classic
When Falstaff finds himself enamored of two married women from upper-crust families it's only natural that he assumes they are equally enamored of him. He arranges for clandestine meetings with both women in letters which are identical word for word apart from the names. When the two women find this out, they are understandably enraged, and plan all sorts of elaborate tortures for the corpulent lothario. So begins a series of wacky revenge plots which play out like an Elizabethan forerunner to episodes of I Love Lucy. Complete with sub-plots and one-liners, this truly is a classic comedy for a contemporary audience.
