Biography

A lifetime resident of Kalamazoo, Lori has provided musical direction for many local and regional theatres. Show highlights include Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein, Q Peter and the Starcatcher, The Toxic Avenger (Farmers Alley Theatre); The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Loserville, Xanadu (Kellogg Community College); and Hedwig and the Angry Inch (Whole Art Theatre). Lori also has toured with rock tribute bands throughout the Midwest. She has also taught for Education for the Arts in the Kalamazoo area schools and has been Director of Music for several area churches. She holds a M.A. from National University and currently is professor of communications at Glen Oaks College. Lori s favorite productions she s ever been apart of are The Full Monty and the community theatre debut of Avenue Q, both here at the Civic, where she held the position of musical director. Other than theatre, she loves riding her Harley and spending time with her grandbabies, Jaxon and Luke.
