Good People

2013-2014 production Good People

Contemporary Drama

Margie Walsh can't catch a break. Laid off from her job at the dollar store, she faces the grim reality that this month's paycheck covers last month's bills and bingo is a night on the town. South Boston is providing her the same kind of opportunity it always has: none. Rough around the edges and ready to make a change, she goes looking for the guy that got away both from "Southie" and from her. Instead, she finds herself in the burbs and out of her element; facing the question, "Is opportunity granted or earned?" Nominated for a 2011 Tony Award for Best Play, Good People takes a thought provoking look at the "haves" and "have nots" and how twists of fate can determine our paths.

Disclaimer: Powerful and compelling, Good People derives much of its strength from its mature, honest dialogue. Due to its strong language and direct approach to challenging subject matter, this production is recommended for audience members 16 and up.

"Thoroughly absorbing...
Good People is good stuff"
