Biography

Nick Dalton is happy to be back at the Civic, where they started doing theatre at age 9 holding a wooden pig and was last seen as Joe Hardy in Damn Yankees in 2001. Most recognized as the face of DirecTV bills nationwide, they are a sought after interdisciplinary artist, education innovator, and cultural traumatologist. Having spent the past 20 years developing over 50 new works internationally, some acting highlights include Hair (European Tour), Legally Blonde (First National Tour), Hairspray (Las Vegas), Surf (Las Vegas), The Full Monty (Ogunquit Playhouse), Three Musketeers (North Shore Playhouse), Fiddler (Walnut Street Theatre), Lightning Thief (demo), 5 seasons of the NYMF, All My Children, and was the host of Zoo Sounds on ABC/PBS in Michigan.

As a director/choreographer, Nick has helped create Maya (Indian Tour/Teach For India), Prem No Parivar (National Gandhi Ashram), Roofless (NYMF), Basquiat (NYC Developmental Readings), A Little Night Music (Arty Award for Best Direction), Shrek, Jr (The Theatre School), Cinderella (South Haven High School), Hairspray (WMU), and more.

Nick holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from WMU, was the first to graduate from Goddard College with an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts (Native American Performance), and is directing Escape To Margaritaville at Timberlake Playhouse this summer.
