Follow the tale of a group of women and their endeavor to raise money for cancer research - by posing nude for a special charity calendar! When Annie's husband John dies of leukemia, she and her best friend Chris resolve to raise money for a new settee in the local hospital waiting room. They manage to convince four other Women's Institute members to pose nude with them for an "alternative" calendar, with a little help from the hospital doorman and amateur photographer Lawrence. The news of the charitable venture spreads like wildfire and soon the press descends on their small village. The calendar is a huge success, but Chris and Annie's friendship is put to the test under the strain of their newfound fame. Based on a true story and the 2003 movie of the same name, Calendar Girls became the fastest selling play in British theatre history and is a hilarious yet touching production, sure to warm your heart!

Nothing brings us closer together as human beings than sharing a true story. Calendar Girls is an inspirational and hopeful look at surviving the loss of a loved one. The playwright uses comedy as a mask for the characters to shield themselves from the fear they face in difficult situations. It's a funny and touching story that focuses on the importance of friendship and discovering one's inner strength and beauty to help cope with grief and learn to let go.

Available after 6pm in the Civic parking lot at the northeast corner of Lovell and Park Streets. There is additional parking behind the Carver Center. Street parking is available after 5pm.
