Scott Calcagno



Scott brings to the Civic over 25 years of professional experience as a Director, Actor, Casting Director and Acting Coach. His performance credits include Broadway and National Tours of Ragtime, Scrooge (starring Richard Chamberlain) and Into the Woods. Regionally, he has been seen in The Visit (Goodman Theatre, starring Chita Rivera), The Most Happy Fella (Ravinia Festival starring George Hearn) and Shear Madness at The Kennedy Center. Scott's film credits include Duplicity and She's Having a Baby. Scott has directed regional productions of Mame, A Christmas Carol, Grease, Once Upon a Mattress, Bye, Bye Birdie, The Boyfriend, Working and Three Penny Opera. He has also coached actors whose credits include Broadway (Phantom of the Opera, Billy Elliott, Hairspray, Evita, Radio City Christmas Spectacular), Feature Film (The Changeling, The Producers), National Commercials (Staples,McDonald's), and TV (Law and Order, Gossip Girl, One Life to Live). Mr. Calcagno is currently a Casting Associate with Binder Casting in NYC whose clients include Broadway's The Lion King and the Tony nominated, Nice Work if You Can Get It. A proud member of Actor's Equity Association, Scott teaches acting seminars across the country.
