Lisa Abbott

Biography
Lisa returns to a director ' role at the Civic after a phenomenal run with her husband, Atis, co-directing Florian Zeller's The Father at the Civic s Carver Center Studio this past spring. Lisa has performed on community and professional stages throughout southwest Michigan, including The Christians (Elizabeth) at Farmers Alley Theatre and The Tempest (Gonzala) at Grand Valley State University's 2017 Shakespeare Festival, where she served as an adjunct AP in their Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance. A Civic volunteer for over twenty years, her favorite roles include those she's played opposite her husband: Kate to his Petruchio in Taming of the Shrew and Beatrice to his Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing.
