The Kalamazoo Civic Theatre is comprised of three performance venues. Each space offers patrons a unique, highly enjoyable theatre going experience.
The Civic Auditorium
Located at 329 S. Park Street, in the heart of downtown Kalamazoo, the Civic Auditorium was built in 1931. With a seating capacity of 503, the Auditorium is perfectly suited to the staging of musicals, comedies and dramas. Featuring an orchestra level and single balcony, the venue offers excellent sight lines from every seat. An elevator is available to transport patrons from the orchestra level to the balcony. The Parish Theatre
Openened in 1998, the Parish Theatre is located at 426 S. Park Street. A black box, this venue affords up to 175 patrons an intimate environment in which to enjoy small musicals and contemporary plays. Its flexible playing space lends itself to innovative staging and can altered from production to production. Seating in the Parish Theatre is general admission.
The Carver Center Studio
Used for the staging of our Senior Class Reader's Theatre productions and experimental works, the Carver Center Studio holds up to 125 theatre enthusiasts. Located on the second floor of the Carver Center Complex, which was built in 1958, the studio is accessible via stairs or elevator. The address for the Carver Center Studio is 426 S. Park Street. Seating in the Carver Center Studio is general admission.
