 The Suzanne D. Parish Theatre, which was built in 1998, is a multiform black box space with a seating capacity of 200. It is unique in its octagonal shape and has all the amenities of a proscenium house with the flexibility of an arena space.
The Parish boasts a wire tension grid suspended 18’ above the playing space, with 21 single purchase fly lines and one electric that surround the grid. There is also a trap section in the center of the playing area. The lighting and sound systems mimic those in the Civic Auditorium with an ETC lighting system complete with DMX distribution and a 32 channel Mackie sound board.
The Parish also houses our scene shop and costume shop. We offer a fully equipped metal and wood shop with a winch system for storage in the expansive basement. The costume shop comes fully equipped, including a laundry facility right in the shop.
